Welcome back to Mapping for Dummies! This christmas special version will show you how to make a mover.
Starting with the Wireframe.
Ok, first, start with a normal room. After that, make any shape you want to be your mover. Once finished, add it with any texture you want your mover to have. Once you get it all worked out right, make sure the brush isn't touching any walls, floors, or any other brush. Then, make ONLY the wireframe of your mover, but increase it in size by right clicking the build square box and making it large enough so that it surrounds your entire mover. Then click the button near the Add button called the "Intersect" button. this will suddenly make the wireframe wrap around the mover inside it. After that, click the box that looks like a 3-D square and says, "Add mover" this will suddenly make the wireframe look pink/purple. Hold down shift and click both mouse buttons. While doing that, move your mouse forward and it will drag the red brush away. Now we just have a purple box surrounding the mover. (Note, the purple box is now going to be the mover.) Now, click the purple brush and do the same of what you did to the red brush. Now, you may have noticed in the top of each viewport is a row of buttons, click the far left one that looks like a wireframe. This should change the view so that all the brushes are wireframes. Then click the small blue brush of whatever shape you used to make your mover. Right click to bring down the menu and hit delete. This will now make the small blue wireframe you textured before disappear. So now, drag the mover to wherever you want it to be.
Learning a Step (or Key) at a Time
After your finished getting your mover where you want, right click it and go to Keys Key1. Then move your mover to wherever you want it to be after its done moving (example: the end of an elevator going up.) Then go to the keys again and go to Key0 if the mover moves back to its old position. You got it! Now buildall and play it, once you touch it, it should move! I will be making another tutorial on having advanced movers soon. Until then... Merry Christmas!!
